Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
Moderator: Gurus
Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
I still get the interface bug in build 1236 I reported in this thread (however, it's a different one than the the starter of the thread reported). I even made a clean install yesterday and removed MediaMonkey completely. But I still get this white "area" randomly (it's also always at the same position). What could it be?
Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
What visual setting you have on Vista? (Normal = 100%, Large = 125%)
What plugins/scripts you have installed?

Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
Do you mean the DPI setting? It's the normal size and I didn't change anything. The font size is 0 % in MediaMonkey. (By the way, this reminds me of another small problem: since the new font system has been introduced in some earlier builds, the text in the popups is pretty big and it doesn't "scroll" anymore when the title is very long. How can you adjust this? Setting a new font size in MediaMonkey doesn't seem to have an effect.)
Currently, I just have the Last.fm plugin, in_mpg123 (input plugin), Audioburst FX (output plugin) and a vst bridge plugin installed. However, I had all these plugins before and this white square didn't occur. It's also a bit strange as it occurs randomly. Someone in this thread said that this problem had been fixed in an earlier build, but I didn't find something on the bug tracker

Dako,
DPI settings are at Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > General > DPI Setting > Normal

That looks like it. Anyone else having problems with font sizes / layout using the latest build ?
I can't reproduce this

Well, this has bee like this since the new font system has been introduced in an earlier build. In the meantime I'm used to the size, but what disturbs me is that the title doesn't scroll anymore if it is very long (the appropriate settings are, however, set in the options).
Edit:
Here is a picture illustrating the problem:

In this case, the album doesn't scroll. However, the artist and the song title also don't scroll if they are very long. This worked before the changes to the font systems wre made.

Actually, that's not true. The popup information panel never used scrolling text when the fields were too long.DaKo wrote:Well, this has bee like this since the new font system has been introduced in an earlier build. Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
But why is there an option for this? Does it just apply for the player in MediaMonkey? I always thought the text would scroll as I remember seeing the whole title/artist/album ... Maybe it's just the bigger font size. But wouldn't this be a nice feature
?

The option is for the player/miniplayer/microplayer. Anyway, theres already a Mantis entry for that:DaKo wrote:But why is there an option for this? Does it just apply for the player in MediaMonkey? Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
Ok, I hope this will be fixed/changed. However, the bug with this white "square" still occurs sometimes ... I just installed build 1240 and it appeared right at the start. One thing I noticed is that it always (or mostly) appears after I start MediaMonkey for the first time at that day (or after the installation of a new build?).
Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
It still appears in newer builds
... I even noticed this white square one time on the scrollbar on the left (when interpret etc. is expanded).
Furthermore, build 1242 or 1244 brought another bug for me:

If I want to maximize MediaMonkey at the start it doesn't fit the full screen (the desktop can be seen at the right). The only thing that helps is to minimize MediaMonkey to the taskbar (minimizing to micro player doesn't work).

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? I cannot reproduce following the fixes described in:

Re: Interface minor bugs BUG#5235
Well, Rusty, the original bug of this thread seems to be gone ... But the bugs I reported here still occur. Especially with build 1244 this white square occrs after every first start of MediaMonkey. The same applies the new "bug" I posted (you can see it on the screenshot).
