Build 1247
Multi-selection in the tracklist does not work correctly, or works spotty, if you click in a column that is "narrow" (a column that is narrow enough so the values in that column does not fit in the width). I am using Title column as example below, however a user is more likely to experience this problem with another column that contains "long values", e.g. the Path column.
Steps to replicate
- select an album in the tree
- in the tracklist, make the Title column "narrow" - narrow enough so the track titles don't fit and are displayed with "..."
- select on track by left-click
- hold down Ctrl key and left-click in the title column on additional tracks
Expected behavior: additional tracks are selected and displayed as such
Observed behavior: some tracks are selected, some are not
Additional weird behavior: easy to get into a weird mode where a single click takes you to amazon.com
- make Title column wider - wide enough so all track titles can be seen fully
- ctrl-clicks work as expected
Edit: I noticed that even if making the Path column wide enough to fully display all values, ctrl-click still does not work correctly when clicking in that column. So the source of the problem may or may not be whether a column is wide enough to fully display values.

Re: Multi-select in tracklist
Following your steps, results in each track being selected as expected.
Re: Multi-select in tracklist
Try using the Path column rather than Title column, and make the width of Path such that the full paths aren't seen. It happens to me continually.

Re: Multi-select in tracklist
I tried it on the Path column after testing on the Title column, and didn't see the described behavior on either. Are you clicking real fast, perhaps close the the edge of an entry, what other variables might there be?
Re: Multi-select in tracklist
No, no special/fast clicking needed, or any special location. Just keep selecting and unselecting tracks and (for me) it occurs.
After your initial response, I checked again, using Path column, and it took several selections/unselections (maybe 5-6) of various tracks for the weird behavior to occur. The column was wide-ish and after making it narrower (but not very narrow) it happens very very frequently, maybe every other or third selection.

Re: Multi-select in tracklist
I could reproduce it too, it seems like if you ctrl+click before the tooltip appears, selecting the track fails.
