As an aside, let's remember that "Now Playing" is a total misnomer - it often contains tracks that are not playing and sometimes does not contain the track that is playing. It has been so long since we experienced users learned to ignore the meaning of the title that we tend to forget that it stumps just about every new user. This is part of the bumpy learning curve that sends so many users back to iTunes. I would like to see MM overcome this one day. But the %age of existing users that would agree on an alternative term is I think very low. Especially the obvious (and original) term: "playlist" :)
I have yet to experience a situation when any track(s) that are playing are not in the np list, but then I am also a user who only plays tracks which are in my library, I never use the my computer node. I also do not find the title misleading, now playing list is a list of songs scheduled to play, so where is the misnomer?? I am also not a user who uses this list for building playlists, it is for playing and editing of playing tracks. I am sure if you ran a poll you would find there are various reasons why users use it, and most are not for playing. :wink: But I am also a user who does not care for the name of functions, it is the functionality that concerns me, and all programs offer a learning curve. As a user who has only used iTunes for purchasing songs, never the library I find it intimidating and primitive to use, but I could see how it would be intimidating switching to MM from iTunes. However that is the same for any program, anyone who switches programs expects and wants things to be similar to what they are used to, regardless of their reasons for switching.

Sometimes I think you take things way too literal, Chris.

Care to explain?
1. Load track into the Now Playing panel;
2. select that track in NP and press Play button;
3. during playback press Delete button and choose "Remove from Now Playing only";
4. track is removed from NP, but is still playing.

However, this is not exclusively new to MM. Winamp has same behavior since I remember and I think that many users prefer such behavior.

Of course that Now Playing contains tracks that are not (currently) playing. You don''t want to hear all tracks which are contained in it in same time, right? Well, maybe its name is wrong (Active Playlist or just Playlist maybe?), but not behavior.

This happens when the now playing track has been deleted from "Now Playing".
