Issues with MM on external hard drive
The other day I went out and bought and external hard drive with the intention of setting up MM to run directly from the drive playing music that is also located on the drive. I completed the instructions as stated in the article and it does work when I move to another computer, which is good. The major issue I am having is while I have this 2nd version of MM on my external drive I also have my original version still on the computer and they seem to be affecting each other somehow. If I open the one installed on my original hard drive and play a song, change a setting, or change the skin and then close the program and re open MM from my external hard drive the now playing list is the same, the skin has changed and the setting has also. Its like they are still taking the information from the same database file. I was under the impression when I went through the process of changing the location of the database that is would look at that database and not the one located on my original hard drive. I have recently updated both versions of MM to 3.1 if that is important. I am just curious what I am doing wrong and if it is possible to fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those settings are stored in the [url=http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... Monkey.ini[/url] file which can be moved to the install folder for each installation. The Now Playing is stored in the MediaMonkey.m3u file.

Re: Issues with MM on external hard drive
I did move the Mediamonkey.ini file though, it is in the mm program folder on the external hard drive. But the external still seems to look for the other one that is located on computer hard drive. There are two seperate .ini files. One on the external hard drive and one is on the computer hard drive in the normal place. I don't want the two programs to share settings. Is it still possible?
