How to find the recently added files?

Post by Guest »

Hi folks,
does anybody know of a smart way to get a list of the most recently added files (latest one first)?

I tried it with a dynamic playlist, but the "added" property is only available for the condition (like "added < 3 days ago"), but unfortunately not for the sort order to make the latest file appear first in the list.

Any good idea (other than manually sorting the list by activating and clicking on column 'added')?

In the options you can tell MM to create playlists on date added. Each time you add songs a new playlist is added.

Tools > Options > Library > Tags & Playlists

Ok, that's a possibility. But it builds me lots of playlists. I would like to have one (dynamic) playlist that always shows me the 50 latest added songs, the latest one at the top. Know any way of doing that?

If you have the GOLD version, you can create an Advanced auto-playlist that lists the last 50 added songs.
I have one that does just this...
I don't think it can be done without the GOLD version, as the advanced playlists is only in the registered version.

Oops, ignore my post.

I don't sort by Added, and I'd say you do have the GOLD version.

We need to beg Jiri to add ADDED to the list of fields that can be sorted in a playlist.

Yep, that's what we should do :D

I anyway don't see why the list of "sort by" is smaller than the list of "criteria". Would be nice if they were equal.

I'll put it to the wishlist ...
