current playlist not refresh info when plugin drive BUG#4589

I got a large part of my music on an external USB HD drive.

When I start up MM while having music in the current playlist that is stored on the external drive, these files are greyed out, of course, and except title, path and playcounter any other tagging info is missing. This is alright.

OK, so I forgot to plug in the USB drive earlier, and do so now. Then the files will not be grayed out anymore, i.e. MM detects the files as available (and will play them), but it will not display the previously missing file info: no artist, album, year, genre etc. etc. The only exception is the currently playing song.

Even refreshing the display (F5 or menu->refresh) will not help.

No replies mean: nobody got this problem, or everybody, or nobody ever plugged in her USB drive after MM startup?!

This should be very easy to verify (I do expect that it's a bug), anyone? Appreciate it.

Hi,

Tested this with build 1273 and could not reproduce. i.e. track metadata displays correctly (though greyed out) even when the USB Drive isn't connected, and when I reconnect the drive, it is no longer grey.

I can reproduce this consistently, now in 1279.

When I start MM with usb drive not plugged in, the songs in "now playing" that are stored on that drive will not only be grayed out but lack any meta data besides title, path and aplaycount, and the title is actually displayed as "artist - title" (i.e. wrong). When I plug in the drive the gray becomes black but no new information will appear.

I can only reproduce a variant of this: when I reconnect the drive, all metadata is correctly retrieved except for the currently playing track, and the one immediately following it.
