Is there any way to actually make a Magic Node a child of another node? And by "child" I actually mean child, and not next sibling like "child of" does.

No. Only sibling; not child.

This is a shame. I will have to look for another solution to my problem.

But MagicNodes can easily be modified to do that!
What do you want to do exactly?
Maybe, I'll have a look at it!

I have created these five Magic Nodes and would like to to all be children of a single Tempo node.

This seems a bit of a bodge, having one Magic Node doing it all might be nice but not sure it's possible.

No that's not possible. Childof can only be used with firm nodes of MM like artist, album, ...

Maybe you could post it here. Pablo can say more, I think.

BTW Why didn't you post the question at your Magic Node tempo script Thread if it belongs to it?

I'll just have seperate nodes i think, not as pretty but certainly easier.

I posted it in a new topic because it was a different question. Part of the same thing I was trying to do, but a different problem.

I had the same frustration. I'm assuming you know how to organize the nodes into your MM tree (not the Magic Nodes tree) in a helpful order? That has at least helped me. It requires sometimes going into the INI and reordering the Magic Nodes directly to get the desired effect.

Yes my nodes are organised the way I like, and I've removed the ones I don't use (such as Classification). Speaking of which, I was thinking that a script to set the Tempo field in Classification based on the BPM could be used, but I didn't want the other Classification nodes, so seemed little point.
