I been using mediamonkey with a homebuilt WHS server for quite some time with no problems.

Exactly. I just placed my whole music library in FLAC format on the WHS server with MM installed on a laptop and desktop. I use MM to play the files and keep my various iPods and Android phone in sync.oncdoc wrote:hi, do you just dump all ur music on the whs and stream to computers with MM installed?
Re: media monkey and whs server?
what folder should i put it in. Since the whs backs up files from the computers. should i put it in public?
Re: media monkey and whs server?
I have been running a setup similar to jdrifter for a year or so and it has worked great. My music files are in the "music" folder on the WHS. If you don't want to mess with usernames and passwords just enable "guest" access on the WHS.
Re: media monkey and whs server?
How do you keep your databases in sync if you have MM installed on two computers? Instead of storing MM on your two devices, have you looked at installing MM on the network shared drive and running single copy from there?ritterjd wrote:Exactly. Re: media monkey and whs server?
I know the question wasn't directed at me but I share the database between computers.
