Cant go to options window. Where is Auto-DJ
When I try to open the Options window I get the error "List index out of bounds (0)." and the window doesnt open. I get the same error message if i try to change the settings for the visualiser.
could it be due to a file i have in my plugins folder?
Tried a re-install but nothing changed. Can't access any settings.
One more thing, where is the auto-dj setting???

Found Auto-DJ
Tools > Options > Now Playing
A button in the player that can toggle this on/off would be very helpful. Maybe just in the context menu of the player is sufficient.

Okay.
Here's a picture I grabbed from the forums.
Basically AutoDJ would be a selectable button right below Now Playing and it would toggle between the two.
The previous songs, current song and next song locations would all be distinctly colored and the current song fixed in that location.
Rearranging would be fine and queue up more songsas needed, but always adhering to displaying the desired amount before and after. (In this case 4 and 9 or so...)

Does that make sense?

MM should treat autoDJ songs distinctly from user added songs.
Here is what I would like to see:
User adds song, it is added as next song
User adds other song, it is added as last song in reference to user added songs
So an additional option would be needed in reference to user added songs. I guess one could choose add last for songs selected with 0 extra songs showb by autoDJ. That would have the same effect, but user wouldn't know about the next autoDJ songs.

Auto-DJ comments
M3wThr33,
I like the idea of a button to enable/disable the auto-dj, though I was thinking more along the current scheme in which this is controlled via the Player menu (e.g. next to Shuffle or Continuous).
p.s. what skin are you using?
Lowlander,
I'm not sure I understand what problem your suggestion attempts to solve.

Octopod

The thing is that with autoDJ there are two types of songs in the playlist.
- AutoDJ added songs
- User added songs
I would like users to be able to add songs as "play last", but this should be last in reference to other user added songs. Not last as last item on the list.
This way autoDJ can prevent the list from finishing, but users don't have to wait till the autoDJ songs have passed before their song comes on.
Play next wouldn't be fair as user 1 adds a song, then user 2 adds 5 songs, which results in user 1 having to wait till user 2 songs have played.
As mentioned if you set autoDJ not to show the next song(s) it will play you would avoid the whole situation. But a solution would be nice anyway as it is nice to know which song will be played next.

I posted this request on another forum about auto dj
as for lowlander's implementation i think it is a really nice idea, but dont know how to explain that to the average user...maybe is not as straight forward as one would like. Its a nice implementatio Indeed! love this feature...dont you think it would be nice to also include as an option the search results? as to enqueue songs from the current search results only...that way it would only take a few seconds to change whats would be automatically enqued and it would take the rigidity (is that a word in english) out of the auto-dj!
Suggested Auto-dj changes
Lowlander,
I tend to agree with Judas--your suggestion would be rather difficult to explain. The simplest way of meeting your needs would be to set the Auto-DJ to only add a single track.
Judas,
Re. adding current search results, my opinion is that your logic applies to other functions aside from Auto-DJ. e.g. Synchronization, CD Burning.
I think the easiest way to accomplish this for all cases would be to add the means of creating a auto-playlist on the fly. It's on our to-do list, but not considered that critical.
