Hi all
I did a search and haven't found an answer to this specific problem. There were some about podcasts but this is purely about regular album tracks.
I've noticed that some albums have 1 or 2 tracks missing, not greyed out, but gone completely. After a while I figured out that the missing tracks were ones I played quite regularly.
In the past when I used to make a playlist for my iPod, i noticed that MM would duplicate any tracks in the playlist, adding that duplicate to the album it came from. So I'm wondering if, somehow, the tracks I'm playing regularly are being added to one of the default smart playlists (favourite 50, for example) and then also somehow being deleted from the album.
All my playlist settings are default and I cannot find anything that would seem to indicate how or why it would be deleting tracks. I currently don't use playlists and have deleted all the default smart ones, hoping it improves the situation. I have also tried to locate moved/missing tracks but that hasn't found anything either.
Anybody experienced this or have an idea as to what is happening? Most settings are default, any that are not dont seem to have anything to do with moving or deleting tracks.
Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Did you delete duplicates? Do you have Auto-Organize enabled under Tools > Options > Auto-Organize or might you have move the files to the iPod instead of synchronize them?ToeAndno wrote:In the past when I used to make a playlist for my iPod, i noticed that MM would duplicate any tracks in the playlist, adding that duplicate to the album it came from.

this was on a previous computer. I'm currently on a fresh install of MM with my library freshly loaded. Auto-Organize is on, but it only moves any track to my external hard drive (where every track is). And no syncing has been done yet on this version.Lowlander wrote:Did you delete duplicates? But some tracks are still going missing occasionally.
