**DEFINITIVE ANSWER NEEDED: Why isn't album art showing?**

If it isn't reproducable it can't be fixed as there is no information on what causes it, thus the information is needed from the user. Some bugs are just hard to solve as they only occur in very unique situations.

When you right click on a track that isn't showing Album Art and go to Properties and the Album Art tab do both images show an image or does the first image show an empty disc image?

- Close down MM
- go into the temp directory as listed above
- Nuke the temp files
- relaunch MM
- Go into the album view (no art will be seen)
- now if I select and play various albums, then I toggle between 'show album art' and 'show album art with details' then I see the cache files being populated

Going to the Album Art screen should repopulate (only visible albums), does it work when you slowly scroll and release the scroll around the view?

No. I see both pieces of album art. I see what you are getting at. If Image #1 was simply a placeholder image, nothing would show up. But that's not the case.

nightrocket (2010.09.28) hit the nail on the head: its a MM bug that needs to be fixed, and MM ought to take ownership of the bug and fix it.

I have had the problem of album art sometimes showing up, sometimes not, since I first installed MM. It is a continual, though admittedly minor, annoyance. Tinkering with the album art properties only results in getting the target album art to show up, and then others don't. Sometimes, not often, it works fine.
