Using Tversity and have used others as well. WOuld be great if MM can get this working. Note I had to do a lot of configuring to get Tversity to work on my new Samsung PN58C6500. Can't get MM to work on the TV either. Will you have a seperate config file that we can tweak for various devices?

The PS3 problem will be fixed in next build: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=7170

Which configuring you had to do to get Tversity to work on your new Samsung PN58C6500? Which seperate config file do you mean?

On the Samsung LED TV series C7xxx UPNP does not work. It is MediaMonkey displayed but also the main choice of music, Classical Music, Playlists, etc. shown. If you select then an artist, album or playlist, the following error message:

Request can not be executed.

I use some Internet radio devices. For those devices that use the wifiradio-frontier firmware is in the media player of the artist appears as "Unknown ". The song title and album name is certainly correct.

At the same equipment that works when using the Twonky media server.

Could you try build 1345, it fixes the PS3 issue and probably the fix will work also for some other devices?

Build 1345:
The Samsung LED TV series 7xxx it does not work. Although you can now select an MP3 file or an AVI, it appears, however, "Unrecognized file format ".

In the other Internet radio devices, the interpreter will still appear as Unknown. Song title and album title are displayed.

Sony KDL-**EX700 isn't supported with 1345. I was hoping it would as the PS3 is supported.

Could you generate debug log and send it to ls at MM.com ?

How do you want the debug log as the EX700 doesn't even see the MediaMonkey UPnP server.

Re: DLNA Experience - using Sangean Media Player

Postby cx_jx » Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:04 am

Hi,
have been a long time Gold user of MM after dumping MusicMatch and iTunes ages back. I now have a Sangean WFR-1D+ connected to my audio system and trying to work out the best media server to use to serve up audio files to the system. Have tested Twonky and Asset Media Servers so far but would be really pleased to have MM do the serving as well as library management.

So far MM4 (UPnP) is functioning and visible to the Sangean box.
Under the Shared Media selection there is MMUPnP> MUSIC> Location, Artist / Album, Album, Genre, Year etc but there does not appear to be a Track selection which would display all library tracks sequentially which would enable continuous (next track play sequence) playing - this becomes an issue if a track is selected which is the only track by that artist or only one within an album or artist directory - in that instance it will just play repeatedly and not move to the next track in the library or just stop - requiring some intervention. Could there be a "Repeat On/Off" that I'm missing? An option to continuously stream the library (or request next in library) would be great.

Also:
One great feature of the Asset Media Server was a Jukebox function (Album Jukebox or Track Jukebox) which seemed to offer a pretty good shuffle/random selection of tracks - this is great for me and would love to know if it will be included in MM... some ability to have a mash-up of random tracks from anywhere in the network would be fantastic... is there a way to do this now?

Let me know if I can do additional testing on my set-up.

Cheers,
Chris

You can create AutoPlaylists with any form of random tracks you want.

Hello,

Browsing the media sharing service using my Roku SoundBridge, when I drill down to Genre, then Artist, I get a list of tracks instead of a list of Albums, then tracks. Is there a configuration I am missing? Please advise.

Thanks!

Sony BDP-BX37 (same as BDP-S370) does not find the MM4 UPnP server. I've experimented with many other UPnP/DLNA servers that the Sony can see with no problem: Asset UPnP, PS3MS, Mezzmo, TvMobili, Foobar UPnP, Twonky, Serviio, PlayOn.

I reapeat my earlier question:

I am still wondering: will scrobbling to last.fm work when music is played through MM's UPNP/DLNA server? If i play a song on my PS3, streamed by MM's mediaserver, will it be scrobbled to last.fm?

This functionality would be THE reason to choose MM4 over PS3 Media Server for streaming my music :)
