1346: Search Current Collection fails in Now Playing [#7529]

When selecting Current Selection as search option and while in the Now Playing node nothing happens when you search. If Current Selection search is not meant to work it should be disabled as option and Entire Library should be automatically used.

Tested on skinned 1346 on XP. Can anyone reproduce?

It works here the same way it has in MM3. Current search on NP doesn't filter the tracks, instead it runs a text search similar to that of a Text editor (typing finds the first result, pressing enter then finds the next occurrence)

Here it doesn't do that, it does really nothing. Even hitting Enter doesn't do anything.

Are you sure that you're searching for something that is present in the Now Playing list? If you have four tracks in the Now Playing node, those being titled "Blue", "Green", "Red" and "Black" (in that order), then typing "Red" into the search box should move the selection down to the third entry (the one titled "Red"). It's working here as expected.

Yes, it is present and no tracks are selected in the Tracklisting. Focus remains on the Search bar, it actually deselects any selected track in the Tracklisting (in Now Playing node).

In any case either behavior is incorrect. Either Current Selection needs to be disabled as option in the Now Playing node or it needs to actually search. I assume the former is what needs to happen.

I now saw the same behavior as you describe. I didn't see it because I searched for the last track in the Now Playing for which this doesn't happen. This is actually another bug as it also happens when you type to jump in the Now Playing node itself.
