Loss of aero texturing when maximized [#7373]

Post by Dreadlau »

It should also be noted that in full screen
the Mediamonkey aero titlebar is missing:

1)texturing
2)glowing effects on the buttons

I already reported that a long time ago.

Nohitter I know that you reported the glowing effect issue. I remember that.
Here is your report: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=6541

But I can't for the life of me find any post in the forum or ticket in mantis re. the missing texture.

Just to be clear, here is what I mean by texturing:

It's hard to tell what you're looking at in those pics. Anyway it seems okay for me:

In the 2 screenshots I posted you see a part of the titlebar.
I know that with the classic aero theme the difference is hardly noticeable.
But with the theme I'm using the difference is huge as you can see in my screenshots

Ok. I was speaking too quick. The problem is a little different than what I was thinking.
I realized that the texturing isn't missing.
There is clearly something wrong with how the Mediamonkey titlebar renders tho.

I think what happens is that the upper part of the texture is missing.

I will try to find a theme where it shows clearly and report back.

I found out how to reproduce it:

1. Maximize MM -> All looks okay

2. Bring any other window that is maximized up (eg. Maximized google chrome), then minimize it again
Image

3. Observe top part of aero title bar is missing texturing

There is still something weird with the theme I'm using tho.

Using the default Aero theme, I get the texturing when first opening Mediamonkey, then using the steps you discribed I can reproduce the problem.

But...

Whatever I tried I really can't get Mediamonkey in fullscreen to show the texturing in the tittlebar using this theme: http://browse.deviantart.com/customizat ... 7#/d2o7oz5
It's missing everytime no matter what I do.
( And it's working correctly with all the other programs I use. )

I would be very grateful if you could test Mediamonkey with that theme.
You don't need to install all the parts of that theme.
In soft7_2_0_beta_2_by_ap_graphik-d2o7oz5\Soft7 2.0 BETA 2\Theme
You have a folder called "Soft7 2.0" and a file called "Soft7 2.0.theme"
Just copy these two files in "C:\Windows\Resources\Themes" and double click "Soft7 2.0.theme"

Also make sure you're system is patched to allow you to install 3rd party themes.
