Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011
previously had this great script working on windows XP. I have now moved my system to Windows 7 32bit and when selecting to save the selected art I recieve an error MSInet component not available please install.
What is it I need to install and where do I find it?

Apologies if I send this twice. I'm new to the board.
Do I enter "64" instead of "32" if I have a Windows 7, 64 bit computer?
Does this line of text need to be entered every time I use the Batch Art Finder?
Thanks for your neat programs!

You only need to do it once, to register the component.

Re: Wrong picture saved (v4.1)
First things first: What a great script! Thanx a lot
Now I ran across something odd:
I set the option to display 3 results (pictures from google) per album. Then I have only one album selected when calling the script. I get three results and click the first one (i.e. the leftmost) to be saved. The checkmark appears, I click "Save" and close the dialog. BUT THEN I find that not the selected (first) image is saved but the third one.
If I call the script with multiple albums selected the same thing happens with the last album in the list. So maybe it's just about a loop counter to be fixed?

Problem when art is present (Batch Art Finder 4.1)
There are always songs which have a cover art linked to them but the quality is so that I would like to replace the image with a better one - if can be found. So I call the Art Finder with that album selected and it shows the present picture. So my idea is, I click "Try next image" and it would start searching google. But it says only "[No results]". So I try "Edit album query" and OK the two querydetails. Next a first image is displayed next to the line "Image: 1 of 197 Loading..." and nothing happens. So I again click "Try next image" and then everything runs as expected. Maybe you could smoothen that a bit...
No results using images.google.com
Thanks for this great script, have been using it for a long time. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with google anymore, haven't gotten any results for more than a week now. Rateyourmusic seems the only reliable search engine now, or is there an better alternative?

I have tried that, it worked, I removed the /s to make sure it wasn't hiding any error. I run on Win7 64. No mather what I try, I still get the same error of msinet not being found...nohitter151 wrote:

Re: No results using images.google.com
I have the same behavior. It works for about 40 images using google, then no result for the rest. If I run it again, no result all the time. If I come back after half an hour, I can do another 40 disks... I have thousands of disks so can you imagine? I thought it might have to do with cache or something being fulled because too much search, I don't know... If anybody has an idea...BramKa wrote:Thanks for this great script, have been using it for a long time. This script is like magic though, I hope there is a solution!!
Cheers!
Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011
Hi, I see the same behavior (with XP Pro) after some 80 images, but if I change my IP manually (reconnect to provider) I can work (download) again...
I do not know, but could this be a leech protection by google?

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011
It does sound like Google is deliberately blocking the images, something which I may not be able to resolve.

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011
So you could see the same issue then? It sucks because it is by far the most accurate source from what I tested...trixmoto wrote:It does sound like Google is deliberately blocking the images, something which I may not be able to resolve.
So maybe Google holds some kind of cache that when full, takes some time to empty. I looked on the web for that but cannot find anything about google blocking batch operation with their search engine... Anyway, thanks trix for your quick support, the scripts you wrote are trully amazing! If you come accross any solution for that, please let us know, I will do the same!
Cheers!

Re: Batch Art Finder 4.1 - Updated 31/01/2011
I was thinking... Would it be possible to add bing.image as well in your script?trixmoto wrote:It does sound like Google is deliberately blocking the images, something which I may not be able to resolve.
Also when reading about google batch, they refer to an API that submit queries in batch. Is this what you are using?
http://code.google.com/intl/fr-CA/apis/ ... batch.html
Thanks!
