List of Duplicate Content with Checkboxes

Post by heronheart »

I use the "Duplicate Content" node quite a bit and would like it it if there wera a way to generate a list of duplicate content with checkboxes to choose the ones to delete. Better still would be to have checkmarks allready filled in for files that I haven't changed the tags on.

Fuzzi logic implementation would be better, so that diferent versions of the same files are shown, so that we can depure database of dups. Ex. "The xxx.MP3" and "xxx.MP3" are not shown as duplicates if the have different Bitrates.

I would also like the option - when Auto-Orgnising files - duplicate file names show as red - if these would produce completely identical files and filenames I would like the option to delete one of them from this dialogue - a bit like when overwriting files with same name

Looking at the duplicate files list on my MM i would love the ability to link the duplicate files together, this way I would only keep one file on my computer but have MM keep a database link to the other so no matter which album i am i can still see that, that particular song was part of that album.
Gee i hop that makes sense, an example.

I have Artist (Allan)
with about 7 albums.
On 3 of these albums the same song is repeated.
MM should allow me to keep just one file copy of the song (giving me the option of which one to delete)
MM should then show this song in any one of the 3 albums it was originally apart of.
MM should also allow this song to be included on a CD if I want to burn it.

hope this makes better sense.
