Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
Nyn,
So are you saying delete the actual folder or the items within the folder? I don't want to mess up anything. I have numerous panel files in the folder (Lyrics, MiniLyricsEmbedder, MonkeyFlow, np, Player, PlayListSandbox, PrettyPictures, SongInfo and VisualisationEmbedder) and don't want to delete them if I need them. Thanks

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
If memory serves me right I made screen prints of all the settings for my panels, then I closed MM and deleted all the values in that section, then when I reopened MM I restored everything back to the way they were. I never did investigate it further but I will say I gave up using this script. Sorry I do not remember why I gave up using it but I did. I hope you find a solution.

Thank you so much for the update. I thought you were able to get it to work and were still using it.
I sure like the way MM looks with the title bars gone. For now I'm just dealing with the upper left box until the creator of the script sees these posts and maybe sends us a cure.

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
well.. actually.. I do follow all these posts...
unfortunately, I can't reproduce that problem and I wouldn't know where to begin to fix it.
That doesn't mean I won't try.. but I haven't had time to start an indefinitely long bug fixing task lately.
I'll try and sort it out when I can, but please don't hold your breath!
Dale.

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
Thank you, sir, for looking into this. I meant no disrespect. I will give more info below that may help.
I have the same "box in the upper left" (I'll call it a panel) problem on two different computers; one uses windows 2000, the other is Vista. I also have the same problem with Pretty Pictures, if that helps. PP worked really well on windows 2000 for months, then it didn't (I think the problem started when I moved MM to an external hard drive, but will have to check if you think it is relevant) and in the process of reinstalling MM I got the panel.
I have had the panel with Behind Title Bars from the beginning, but the script works just as it should. It seems like the panel sits on top of MM covering most of the toolbar. I can click on Tools, use the left arrow to navigate to Play, View, Edit, and File.
I can't think of anything else that is common to the scripts or systems. I may try someone else's solution using the Song Info Panel script and see if that does anything. Thank you again for your hard work.
Edit: I know next to nothing about what I'm about to tell you, it's just information. Going to the "Persistent" registry as has been suggested here showed me that I had a couple items there that I think shouldn't be, Pretty Pictures and Monkey Flow, neither of which is installed. I deleted both, not only in Persistent but their actual folders under \Toolbars\. Monkey Flow is gone and stayed gone, but Pretty Pictures kept showing up in the Persistent folder. I deleted and restarted MM numerous times, each time going to the register and deleting PP, and now the panel seems to be gone. This was all done on the Windows 2000 system. The Vista has Monkey Flow installed and working before I added this script and Pretty Pictures was not in the registry. Not sure what to do next but will play with it.

while you pretty pictures kept reappearing in the registry, was it actually installed or had you uninstalled it?

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titlebars
Went into the registry, as others have suggested, (HKey_Current_User\Software\Mediamonkey\Interface\Toolbars\Persistent\) on both computers, and found a file called Pretty Pictures, I had uninstalled it months ago as I could not get it to work. Closed MM, deleted this file in \Persistent\ and the corresponding folder, if there was one. Opened MM and the panels on both laptops are gone.
The PP file must have been left from when I tried to install it months ago. MM is Title Bar free!!!
Side note; may try to reinstall PP if I can figure out the new Song Information Panel script.

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titleb
I installed this running MM4. At first I got the white box as part of this thread notes. I deleted the Persistent folder, the white box disappeared and now I get an error stating a Type Mismatch on Line 71 "Unbound". Any thoughts?

Bummer,
How are we supposed to know which ones do? Install and see? Thanks again for your help.

More or less. Or ask in the thread before you install it. More than likely someone has already tried it.rrfpacker wrote:Bummer,

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titleb
Since upgrading to MM4 recently, I've had a similar problem with some extensions that I had previously hidden their title bars with this extension (Embedded Minilyrics and MonkeyRok).
Now when I view the windows of either of these extensions, they both appear in a tiny immovable box (see example of embedded MiniLyrics pictured) at the upper left corner. It can't be resized or moved.
I've uninstalled Behind Titlebars and tried the tips suggested elsewhere in this thread, and deleted the "Persistent" entries in the registry with no luck. Anyone else have any ideas? I'm going crazy trying to fix this.
Thanks for any tips.

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titleb
Anyone reading this - I solved my problem. Was similar to the registry edit solutions posted earlier in the thread but slightly different path.
Here's the registry keys I had to delete to get this working again (note the V4 in the path):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MediaMonkey\Interface\V4\Toolbars\Persistent
np_Panel
MiniLyricsEmbedder_Panel
(np_Panel refers to MonkeyRok).

Re: Behind Titlebars - Show / Hide all script created titleb
Just checking back...has anyone got this to work with MM 4.0.7.1511? Would really like to get rid of the Visualization Panel title bar.
