MM 4.0.1.1461 Gold - MP3 Playback distorted
With the latest upgrade MP3's are now playing back with distortion (Clicking and buzzing). The same files play fine in the Microsoft media player as well as SAM Broadcaster from Spacial Audio.

Try changing Output Plugin under Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins and also make sure the correct Sound Device is enabled.

I have tried all 3 provided output plugins and the correct sound device is chosen. The distorted playback continues.Lowlander wrote:Try changing Output Plugin under Tools > Options > Output Plug-ins and also make sure the correct Sound Device is enabled.
Re: MM 4.0.1.1461 Gold - MP3 Playback distorted
I think I have found the problem- I use Volume Leveling on playback... when I disable it, the distortion stops.

The values set under Tools > Options > Volume Leveling might be too high. Try resetting to 89Db if not set at this.
