Re: Using Rendezvous proxy with MM
I don't see why it's a problem, beta testing for 4.1 will probably begin shortly after 4.0.5 is released.markstuartwalker wrote:That seems rather disappointing

Re: Using Rendezvous proxy with MM
4.0.6 was just released, so 4.1 beta testing will probably start in 1-2 weeks or so.markstuartwalker wrote:The release date for 4.1 was over a month agonohitter151 wrote:It's planned for MM 4.1:markstuartwalker wrote:This doesn't seem to be in the 4.0.5.1481 build

Manually adding UPNP/DLNA devices as demanded would be awesome! Finally a piece of software that can handle this kind of task .... can't wait till 4.1 beta begins.
By the way: since SSDP device discovery can't handle subnets (due to multicasts) a lot of people are in that situation that they can't access their media servers just because they can't add them by their own which I think is rather ridiculous.
I use KAME/IPSec to access my home network and I'd like to access my media server as well .... MM4.1 is probably the only way to make that every happen.
In regards to limited bandwidth: Most people have 100/10Mbits AVDSL connections over here which give you around 850 to 1000 Kilobytes a second. That's enough for HD-Rips....greetz
