Oh. Well something is blocking the action. You have assigned the HTA extension to Internet Explorer?
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

Hmm, it might be a win9x problem....
Does everything else works correctly? I mean, besides the problem with the panel position and size, it the info displayed correctly?

GREAT MM addition... feature request

Post by Guest »

I was blown away with this script... I have one small request, which is the ability to click on the RATING icon and change the rating for the song that is currently being played.. I'm hoping this is an easy request, as it is one that I need as I go through 700GB of MP3 music and try to weed the goodies from the crap.

Again - KILLER addon for MM!!

Is there a way to make this script start up when MM is started ? (and make it STAY on top ?)

Philby,

You could place the LaunchSongInf.vbs inside the auto folder. This will start the Panel when MM starts.
As for staying on top, I have incuded with the installer a free small utility called powermenu, this can set any window on top and can also set transparecy options for any window.
I my self have set this utility to start with windows since i find it very usefful.
It is placed inside the Scripts folder.

Currently i am waiting for the release of MM 1.5.2. so i can recode this script to be compartible with the new dockable panel element inside MM.

Album-level data for classical music

Post by cherryplinth »

I just downloaded your SongDetails script. It is dynamite; it makes Media Monkey come alive. It leaves every other media player, plug-in and script in the dust with respect to what information is displayed about the music that is playing.

Your notes say that you are going to be adding other track-level details to the information display. I have an urgent request that would go a long way toward meeting the unfilled needs of classical music fans.

Could you also add a display item to show Album-Level Comments? Album-Level Comments are the only meaningful place where you can store performance-level information like the cast of an opera recording. Information about the orchestra or recording could also be stored in Album-Level Comments.

It would be so nice to have the full opera cast displaying while the opera is playing.... The artist field cannot handle this need because usually there are too many superstars in a single performance (e.g. Sutherland and Pavarotti).

My request is a general one that applies to all MediaMonkey development. But I have recorded my comment in this SongDetails thread, because clearly you are making the most progress in making song information become available. Keep up the nice work. Cherryplinth.

I'm trying to use this, and i get the window and it has all the right buttons in it and whatnot, but no actual song info, everything is blank. i can use the buttons to control the music (play, next, stop, etc), and i get a do you want to let active-x do this window, which i allow, but its still not getting the song info. im using winxp pro, service pack 2, and mm 2.5.1.934. any ideas?
thanks

Have you install the latest windows script files (try this link).
Scripting is known to have several problems on win9x and winMe machines. Please try this and tell me how it goes---
