This happened after I updated from MM 4.0.5 to 4.0.6
In v4.0.6, if I'm listening to a song that's elapsed at least 5 seconds, when I press the Previous Track button, the song will start from the beginning again. It will only actually go to the previous track if I hit back before the first few seconds.
In v4.0.5, doing the same as above would go to the previous track (as it should) no matter how much of the track has played.
Is this a bug?
A new feature? How do I disable it?
Thanks
Previous Track button restarts the song

Re: Previous Track button restarts the song
I can confirm that I see the same behaviour with all the previous track commands
You now have use the back button twice in quick succession to go back.
[4.0.6 1501 -portable]

Re: Previous Track button restarts the song
This is a feature based on user feedback, newly introduced in 4.0.5:

Re: Previous Track button restarts the song
So is this something I can disable?
If not, might I request this to be something that could be disabled/enabled as the user wishes to use in later releases.

No. It was a change, and it is not configurable.devaj wrote:So is this something I can disable?

Re: Previous Track button restarts the song
I'd like to second the wish for this to be user configurable.
Going back to the begin of a song is convenient for songs, and pressing the button twice to the previous one is a small inconvenience.
But unfortunately it wrecks havoc with the 'Bookmarking" feature for example if you use the back and forward buttons to switch between longer podcasts.
Going back to the beginning of a podcast looses the bookmark in it (sts it to beginning) and getting back to where you left off in a longer one can be a real pain.
So please make the old behaviour selectable again, or even better go back to start for track with bookmarking disabled, and to previous track when bookmarking is on.
Or even better: Keep the bookmark and make it available to the back and forward buttons until a song is left
