massive duplicate of podcast items

Hello MediaMoney,
There's a major problem with MM handling podcast item. It duplicates a massive ammount of items. It all seems very random to me. It duplicates a couple items in each podcast subscription.
Here's a sample of it:


As you can see, there are 675 items of that same entry. And there are several of them that get duplicated. As a result, my database's filesize had ballooned very large.

I tried to delete them in MM but they reappears after a refresh. Then I tried an external database tool and it couldn't delete those entry due to a "IUNICODE" error:


Please help me to correct this problem.

Was this ever resolved? I am having what seems to be a similar issue. Sometimes the files are identical length, sometimes they vary by a small amount, and sometimes they are quite small (e.g., 32kb). It is happening with several different podcast feeds.

It has been almost 2 weeks since I asked if this has been resolved? Since I am still seeing duplicates, I am revising my question to whether there has been any work done on this issue and whether there is specific data you need?

I've had this problem too and have had to (a) delete all my podcasts downloaded by MediaMonkey and (b) use Juice for downloading and managing podcasts.

The problem where multiple partial files would be downloaded might have been fixed -- I don't see it anymore in 4.0.7. The problem where non-downloaded episodes get duplicated is very hard to reproduce, I think because it's actually a problem in the feed that podcasters try to fix quickly.

There's another problem I'm trying to characterize -- it seems that sometimes, a downloaded Song is assigned an IDEpisode (and thus identified as a podcast episode), but is then later assigned an IDEpisode of -1. The result is tens of identical episodes downloaded (but marked as independent songs). When this happens, all of the episodes have identical Date Added stamps.
