I want to add some songs to an existing playlist on my iPod. In iTunes, I can drag and drop songs onto the playlist - I can't seem to do that in MM. I can't copy and paste songs into it from MM. Can I do that - and is so how?
Also, when I click on the send to - playlist - imported playlists - a TON of old and non existent playlists come up - how can I clear those from the list?
And lastly - what is an m3u playlist? If I get one of the addons for MM can I do what I want to do - work with an existing playlist on my iPod?
Thanks

Please see this post:

You can delete playlists under the "Playlists" node in the media tree (left hand side of MM). Removing the playlists there will also remove them from the right-click context menu.
An m3u playlist is simply a type of playlist file. It is basically just a text file that holds the file paths of each track that should be listed in the playlist. MM handles m3u playlists without any need for addons, and there is no addon that will let you edit playlists directly on an iPod. See the link above.

Re: adding to playlist on iPod
thanks - I'm not a fan of syncing - I HATE the Apple syncing thing - my perversity - but I'll have to see how it works with MM - or use iTunes to edit playlists the way I am comfortable with.
Re: adding to playlist on iPod
Auto syncing is the way to go with MM. Then any changes you make to a playlist in MM will automatically be synced to your device the next time you sync.
Also, if you were trying to drag and drop into an auto-playlist, I don't think that can be done.

You're right, you can't manually add files to an Auto-Playlist as it is criteria based.rrfpacker wrote:Also, if you were trying to drag and drop into an auto-playlist, I don't think that can be done.

Re: adding to playlist on iPod
thanks.
I tried syncing with MM - I found out I'm just not a fan of syncing. I don't use playlists on my computer, I mainly use my computer and MM to organize my music. I tried making a playlist and syncing it - and it did not go well - I just wanted one playlist to sync with the iPod and did not want to auto sync - I'm pretty comfortable with technology, so it's not like I don't know my way around computers - but I apparently have a major screw missing for how and why to sync. I messed with it for about 30 minutes and finally go it to work, but I'll just use iTunes for that in the future.

Re: adding to playlist on iPod
Disable Auto-Sync in the Device Profile and make sure only the one Playlist is enabled in the Auto-Sync list tab of the Device Profile and you should be good to go to only manually start the sync.
