My tablet had PowerAmp installed prior to MMA. Yesterday I took the tablet along on a drive. When I turned on the car stereo, it immediately searched for BT Audio, found the tablet, and started playing from the PowerAmp playlist. Sometime after starting MMA and browsing, but before selecting an album, PowerAmp stopped; I'm not sure why. Anyway, MMA played about 2/3 of the album before getting to my destination.
Later, I returned to the car. When I started the car stereo, it seemed to pick up from the interrupted play -- but that was just coincidence! In fact, PowerAmp simply had selected the last track of the album in its shuffle mode, and then proceeded to shuffle-play other tracks on the device. A little confusing and not something easy to correct while driving.
I'm not saying this is an MMA bug; I don't know how this resource is prioritized and it wouldn't surprise me to find this is an issue with Android or even with the Bluetooth spec. But if there is a way for MMA to claim priority on Bluetooth, it would be good to do so.
Meanwhile, I have uninstalled PowerAmp, despite its scrobbling advantage.
