I have a large library (20,000+) songs on my PC and I've set my 64GB external SD card as sync location. Sync takes at least an hour before I starts to copy files, wirelessly. Signal is excellent, gigabit wired network from pc to router. Is this to be expected or just because it's in it's early stages?
Thanks

Which build of MediaMonkey are you using? Are you doing a USB or Wifi sync?

Re: Slow analysing SGS2
Update: I deleted all my music off my 64GB external SD card and allowed MMA to sync. The initial 'Analysing sync list' takes around an hour, sometimes more. Synchronising took significantly longer. After around 12 hours, I went to bed and it was on 14,182 songs. When I woke this morning, it had stopped at 15,673. I've set it against to sync but the analysing is still taking ages. All of this is done over wifi sync.
My expectation is to be able to automatically connect to the home network wirelessly and MM sync any new music/podcasts to my phone. Something that could take a few minutes, maybe even an hour. If this isn't what MM has in mind, then I'll find another solution.
Here some information:
I have 23,000 songs in M4A format.
MMA version: 1.0.4.0118
MMW version: 4.1.0.1629
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2 I-9100
I have a secondary router in my room, about 8ft away from computer desk, so my phone has full signal anywhere in my room. The router is connected wired to the main router downstairs, using gigabit Ethernet. N rated router.

Re: Slow analysing SGS2
I've never tried a sync of that size, and I'm curious if you've tried the same over USB. If so, how long did that take for that device?
Remember when Last.fm had those cool imagegen charts for use in signatures?

Re: Slow analysing SGS2
Hi,
I can confirm I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Perfect signal across WiFi and did a 30Gb transfer yesterday (just under 3000 songs with no conversion of the files) and it took near on 10 hours! The analyse this morning alone took over an hour even though nothing had been added or removed from my synced playlists (so just the play counts and last played dates were all that needed syncing).
Version details:
Media Monkey Android Beta Version = Build 118
Windows Media Monkey = 4.1.0.1609 (under windows 7 64 bit pro)
Device = Samsung S2 I9100 16Gb (all music on a high quality 32Gb micro SD card)
Android Version = 4.2.2
Baseband Version = I9100NELS1
Kernel Version = 3.0.31-CM-gd3ad65f
Rootbox Version = Rootbox-JB-i9100-V3.9.1
