The missing buttons

Post by Barry4679 »

Now that I have been using MMA for a while, there a couple of UI buttons that I still really miss:

1> A Delete button on the Now Playing List. ... The list gets longer and longer. The "Play Now" button, which is available from the long press, doesn't clear the queue before adding the new stuff. ... So we need to clear the queue from time to time ? ... Why no button? ie. one up on the Now Playing List heading line, or available via a long press there. ... It seems such an obvious requirement ... the android versions of PowerAmp & BubbleUPnp think so too.

2> A "filter to just albumartists" toggle button on the local Artists index. I can see which are non-albumartist entries via the thumbnail, but an option to filter them away would be much appreciated. If I synch in a couple of composite albums it makes the Artist index unpleasant to use given the relatively small screen size on android devices.

3> A standard Play button on the drill down into an album browsing screen, rather than a Play Random button which is there currently. The random facility may be applicable to playlists, but is a PIA for albums.

4> A toggle between artist tags and album tags on the synch deletion confirmation screen would be very reassuring, especially considering the occasional "MMA deleted all my stuff" type of posts which are sent here from time to time.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Most of this has already been discussed and should be discussed in existing topics.

1) Long press on track in Now Playing list, select files and Delete. (edit by Rusty: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10894 )

2) See http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=69651

3) Long press on track, select files and Play Now (bottom of screen): http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=71627
