beta 2: 943 scroll album art with mousewheel

Post by Teknojnky »

- Added ability to scroll through multiple Album Art entries with wheel mouse
I can not get this to work with either the docked album art window, nor the undocked window.

I am using a logitech MX 500, mouseware version 9.80.019 and the mouse wheel works every where else as expected.

The album arts I use are tag embedded. I have not checked to see if any externally linked art will scroll.

When I get home I will check with a logitech mx518 + the setpoint software (its different than the mouseware drivers).

It works with my external images. But it is not very sensitive. You have to scroll further than I would like to get to the next image.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

Yeah, thank you very much for realising this appliance.

But as Trixmoto said, it's not working very stable for now.

You mostly need more than one steps of a scroll to achive anything. So you can't really control what picture to be shown very well, as it takes quite long to change the Image. It also woul be useful to show a short Index for a second, which shows a kind of:

"Image 1 of 4: Cover (front)"

I got this to work at home after reading it takes several scrolls of the mouse to switch art.

I will try again at work this weeek.

scrolling images

It is too insensitive. Added to the to do list.

btw, how many of you use this feature often? I don't find it all that useful since there's no means of knowing beforehand whether multiple images exist.

Well, I do! Although it's not very satisfying for now. But I'm looking foward to improvements.

Yes, thats right. Could be improved by showing a short line at the bottom of the arts field, when moving mouse-pointer on it, as requested obove. Kind of: "Image 1 of 4: Cover (front)"

Yes! Much better in 2.5.2 RC-2. But still needs two steps of a scroll to change the art in most cases. Perfect would be one wheel-step.

Would it also be possible to get that scrolling work in the popup-window with original size arts? (Sorry, should have been in whishlist...)
