I am using MMW 1662 and MMA 168, and I'm syncing to an Acer A500 via WiFi. I think I almost have the process working correctly. However, one quirk seems to persist. When I create a new playlist in MMA and sync, the new playlist is copied to MMW as expected. However, at the same time the new playlist in MMA is emptied. When I next sync, MMA asks me to confirm if I want to update the newly created playlist on MMW. I always choose not to update the new playlist on MMW. The result is that the contents of the new playlist are synced from MMW back to MMA, and all is well.
So, I know how to workaround this issue. But it is confusing, and it has the potential to permanently empty the contents of new playlists created in MMA, if I'm not careful.

Re: New playlists create in MMA are emptied during WiFi sync
Was content on the New Playlist selected to be synced to MMA? If not the removal of items seems expected if you set MMW to remove items not on the sync list.

Re: New playlists create in MMA are emptied during WiFi sync
The New Playlist was created in MMA. I don't have the opportunity to change any settings related to the New Playlist within MMW. During the same sync session that it is uploaded to MMW, it is also emptied within MMA.
Re: New playlists create in MMA are emptied during WiFi sync
That doesn't answer the question. If MMW isn't set to sync the files on the Playlist to MMA and you set MMW to delete files not on sync list the files would be removed on sync, thus the Playlist is empty.

Re: New playlists create in MMA are emptied during WiFi sync
In MMA I have un-checked "Delete unselected content copies", and I've un-checked "Delete all unselected content". In MMW I've looked at all the settings to be sure that it is not set to delete anything on the device. However, the same behavior (i.e. emptying of new playlists on MMA during the sync process) is still occurring.
Is there another setting that could be causing this issue?

Re: New playlists create in MMA are emptied during WiFi sync
I appreciate the advice already given for this issue. I'm also thankful for the information on how to submit a complete bug report. Unfortunately, my Internet is metered. So, I pay per MB. I would like to avoid the extra downloads needed for submitting bug report files, if possible.
I realize that the issue I'm experiencing involves a somewhat complicated series of steps. I should have included more comprehensive information from the beginning. Let me try giving a more step-by-step account of the behavior I'm experiencing. Hopefully this will allow others to reproduce the behavior.
I'm using MMW 1662 and MMA 168, and I'm sycing to an Acer A500 via WiFi.
Here are the relevant settings in MMA:
Options | Wi-Fi Sync | Sync Location/Settings | A500 External SD Card
[X] Sync to this location
Auto-sync server content
[ ] Classical Music
[X] Music
[ ] Podcast
[] Playlists
[X] Auto-sync device content
[ ] Delete unselected content copies
[ ] Delete all unselected content
Here are the steps that produce the behavior I'm experiencing:
1. Create a new playlist named “Test” and add three tracks to it.
2. Touch “Sync now”.
3. MMA begins sync process.
4. Dialog box appears in MMA confirming that I want to upload the new playlist, “Test”, with its 3 tracks to the server.
5. The checkbox next to “Test” is already selected by default. I leave it selected and touch “Yes”.
6. MMA completes the sync process.
7. MMA displays:
“External SD Card
Updated 1 playlist(s) on the server
Updated 1 playlist(s)”
8. The playlist, “Test”, appears in MMW with all three tracks.
9. In MMA browse the playlists and choose “Test”. It is empty.
10. Touch “Sync now”.
11. MMA begins sync process.
12. Dialog box appears in MMA asking if I want to upload the empty “Test” playlist to the server.
13. The checkbox next to “Test” is unselected by default. I leave it unselected and touch “Yes”.
14. MMA completes the sync process.
15. MMA displays:
“External SD Card
Updated 1 playlist”
16. In MMA browse the playlists and choose “Test”. It has its original 3 tracks.
Hope this helps.

Danny,
Thanks so much. I'm able to replicate this (not sure how it slipped through), and we're tracking it at:
