App-specific screen rotation lock

Well there's my other two suggestions;

- Ability to lock the screen from rotation and touch (maybe just a small icon that only shows when the screen is touched and difficult to accidentally touch
- More codec support, particularly the sound in a lot of my mkv files don't work. The file format is video: H264-MPEG-4 AVC (part 10), Audio: A52 Audio (aka AC3) channels at 48kHz

When making suggestions, it's best to do each as a separate thread, unless the suggestions are releated (I'll move this to a new thread once you reply). We tag them with a 'heart' so that we know it's a feature request. Re. your suggestions:

- screen rotation lock: why not just rely on the system lock?
- more codec support: for now we rely on system codecs, but we'll certainly consider this for the future.

Rotation is likely desirable in normal usage, but not when playing a video (device lying down may trigger accidental rotations). Thus an in-app lock (that is remembered) is preferable.

also the lock on the devices system is able to be messed up by some other apps that are added the HTC one my sister has keeps having the system lock get turned off.
so that is another reason for an lock in mma.

Hi Rusty. That would be great if you could make it a new topic, well two if that works better. Are you also able to move the other related comments to the lock function as well??

Otherwise I'm happy to do it myself. I'll wait a day or two for that though.
