How to get larger art on Discogs?

Post by theloniouscoltrane »

I love Discogs and all it brings to the party, except for one small problem. I prefer much larger album art (1000x1000 or more). I can't figure out any way to get Discogs to pull a picture anywhere near that. Is there any solution that would allow me to still do everything in one step with Discogs? Thank you in advance for your kind replies.

A.F.A.I.K. you can download a small album art (150 pixels) or the original size. Choosing "Large" in Discogs Tagger you get the big one.

The "large" covers I've gotten using Discogs are 370x370. Standard CD size is 500x500, though some get files even larger from second parties or from the record labels. Mog, rest its soul, had 800x800. And the record companies often release huge covers over 3000x3000

The covers at discogs are uploaded from users, so there is no standard size for the images. I don't know any other side with images > 1000x1000 pixels

dBPoweramp allows any size you stipulate. I just hate going to multiple steps. Discogs is great except for the one flaw with Album Cover size.

Just go to Album Art Exchange. I've found large size covers for virtually every album I've
looked for. I also prefer large size images (1000 x 1000 etc.)
