Problems with 88.2KHZ Flacs and Version 4.1

Post by bryrohr »

I upgraded to new MM version 4.1 a while ago and now when I try to play 88.2Khz files purchased from HDTracks the player skips continuously. These files used to play flawlessly and sounded great on old version software. Is anybody else having this issue?
This is really an embarrassment to MM as I had a bunch of audiophile friends over when I discovered this and makes MM look like a bad choice for a high res media player.
My audiophile friends say I should use a different Hi Res media player as Media Monkey has lots of issues with high res playback like skipping and dropouts.

Hi, I've tested on several tracks, and all - 88.2hz, 96kHz and 192kHz - play ok. One album was even 88.2kHz from HDtracks. What OS do you have, which output plugin do you use? Is it the same for all output plugins (Tools - Options - Player - Output plugins) and all FLAC files? Standard 44.1/48kHz play ok?
Please generate debug log from FLAC play attempts and send it to me (you can use PM or better support ticket). Thanks.

Thanks,

Found a great solution. Its called JRiver media player. MUCH better than MM and all my long time glitches are now gone, along with my MM gold player. And now I can even playback and encode Apple type music files so my friends that record live music venues can now come over and play at my house :-)

I'm sorry that MMW didn't work out for you :-(

I've also tested HD Tracks @88, 96, 176, and 192 kHz using MMW 4.1.1.1700 (from the beta forum) and could not observe any artifacts :-( (Tested on Win 8.1)

Hopefully you can provide us with a sample track and debug logs--if there is an issue, we'd like to fix it.

Thanks.
