Updated version and now all my data and playlists are gone!
I just installed the update after being asked to in a pop up window. I am a Gold user so I followed the link for existing Gold users. After the program restarted it apparently has lost the data base with all of my playlists and other data. This is very frustrating. Hopefully the database was not replaced in the update. Pls advise.

Database should still be there. A search for MM.DB (include searching hidden files) should reveal where it is and may reveal clues of what went wrong (installed as different user, installed in different folder or installed Portable vs. regular install).
You can copy the old DB to the new DB location while MediaMonkey is closed.

OK..I rescanned and now MM has located the DB. I have been searching for a file called MM.db for the database. I have enabled Hidden Files but my system is not locating a file with that name. Clearly something is wrong in the search as it must exist.
Is there a way to locate the path to the data base file being used in MM from within the MM program?

You are searching for MM.DB in Windows Explorer no? Have you tried setting it to search the whole computer?

If you run the debug version and capture the debug output it will show the path of the DB used.joewilly wrote:OK..I rescanned and now MM has located the DB.
