Does MediaMonkey support playing AIFF files? (as best I can tell, the answer is no).
If not, what would the experts recommend as a way to convert AIFF to FLAC or WAV or (other lossless format) supported by MM, trying to maintain art work, tags, etc (as much as possible)..
Thanks

Re: AIFF support
No, it doesn't support AIFF files.
You could look for a Winamp 2 AIFF plugin, but that would allow MM only to play the tracks, and not to read metadata from the tracks.

Re: AIFF support
One could then auto tag and have the info in the MM database to review, though??

Re: AIFF support
Yes, but in the database only. MM couldn't tag the tracks without adding direct support for that file type.raharris wrote:One could then auto tag and have the info in the MM database to review, though??

Re: AIFF support
So far as I can tell it's because:darkMatter wrote:How is there still not AIFF tag support!?
1. There is no clear tagging standard for this format
2. There is no "de-facto" or popular tagging standard for this format
3. The format is quite unpopular compared to other, more superior formats (FLAC, WAV)
