Sorry, I've been extremely busy lately So I'll try to retry a sync either tonight or tomorrow morning and post a log for it.
Re: Ext SDcard unavailable in Options after KitKat update #1
Hi, no problem, I probably already know the cause. New build with fix is ready and will be published to Play soon. But still, there is some restriction that doesn't allow to use new implementation that works on Samsung devices. So could you wait for the build and send me log after update. No sync is required ...just start MMA and send log. Thanks!Emmitt_Nervend wrote:Sorry, I've been extremely busy lately So I'll try to retry a sync either tonight or tomorrow morning and post a log for it.

Hi. Would you be so kind and send me the log anyway. We don't have this device and I would like to see how the storages are mounted there. Just start app and send logs. Thank you!creativconfusion wrote:HTC M8

I'm getting sync issues again - MMA just says sync failed - I have submitted the log but missed the reference I'm afraid.
Latest beta of MMA and 4.1.1.703 MMW on a Galaxy S4 on kitkat
Seems like a few tracks were downloaded on the Music folder as opposed to the Andoid folder on the SD card - could it be that it's trying to remove one of them and failing?

Alright, I just updated to the latest beta for MMA and uploaded a debug log and so far, the sync options seem to look good. I just started a sync and will report back when it's finished.

and it failed. After attempting to sync close to 5,000 songs, and waiting about 3 hours for it to match information on the server, it only identified 377 songs to sync and then failed to sync them.Emmitt_Nervend wrote:Alright, I just updated to the latest beta for MMA and uploaded a debug log and so far, the sync options seem to look good. So just to cover my bases, I uninstalled MMA, formated my SD card, and restarted my phone and reinstalled MMA beta. So first off, I unchecked all options to sync from the device to the server (so as it is now, it can only go from the server to the device) and. I first tested syncing one single song and it worked, then an album and then all albums from a single artist (in this case, it was two albums equaling 31 tracks) and so far all three syncs worked. I'm now attempting the full sync of my entire library and while it's still at .01%, everything looks to be downloading properly.
I'm starting to think the biggest hiccup is in syncing device content with the server and/or deleting things off the device that aren't on the server. I noticed after my first attempt at syncing a single track, it had messed up meta data (not the fault of media monkey windows or media monkey android) so I checked the options to delete unchecked tracks from the device during syncs and then attempted to sync an album's worth of songs off of the server onto my phone while simultaneously deleting that one song off my phone. When I attempted this, the sync failed to download the selected tracks off the server, giving me an error message.

Send debug logs from MMA (from About screen) right after you experience (sync) these things so the developers can see the details of what happened.

I have auto-updates enabled for MM & MM Pro, they seem up to date (in Play), and my version is 1.0.4.0245 . I suppose that means Build 245, so not 253 which may fix it? Is that an official fix for the problem?
Thanks
(I'll report bug from app 'pon request)

Re: Ext SDcard unavailable in Options after KitKat update #1
The official release version is 245.
If you uninstall the official release and install the Beta instead you will be at 259.
Note: You cannot have both the release and Beta installed at the same time.

Re: Ext SDcard unavailable in Options after KitKat update #1
Hi,
I just thought that I may share my experience. I have managed to corrupt 2 Micro SD cards syncing from MMW to a Galaxy S4 and an S4 Mini both with KitKat. The phones were connected by USB with the SD card in place. The transfer seemed to start okay (the S4 transferred something like 60 tracks out of a few thousand) before the sync processed stalled. Exiting MMW and trying agin just stalled the sync process almost immediately. Looking at the files that had been transferred there wer a number that had been an awful lot of non-alpanumeric characters which I was unable to delete. I have been unable to reformat the cards despite trying all sorts of methods sourced online.
I've now read up on the problems with access to the SD card with KitKat and I synced directly to a "Music" folder on the SD card plugged into a USB holder. The default Google player sees all the tracks and plays them. Unfortunately, although MMA sees the tracks it won't play them directly (there are various tags missing such as album art and album artist. If I open a track with a file manager and choose to play it with MMA, it plays correctly with the tag information correct.
Just thought I'd pass this on,
Mac.

Has any progress been made on this? Checking in.
As far as I can tell, the spec indicates that any app can create its own space on the SDCard, so one would think that MMA could do this? Is this some feature that Google blocks for 3rd party devs? I would love to be able to use my 64GB card.
