Wi-Fi Sync By Location Stopped Working
On my GS3, there was a recent update to MMA-Beta (now 1.1.0.0341). Never had a problem with an update in the past. But now that I've added some music to my MMW Server, I can no longer sync it to the phone via wi-fi. Why? Because the "External Storage" sync has disappeared on MMA. My phone is set up to sync a specific folder from my MMW Server (V4.1.5.1719) into "Internal Storage" and a different specific folder into "External Storage". Now, it syncs Internal Storage fine, and then stops. The External Storage link is no longer shown or performed. And when I go into Options/Sync Location/Settings, the Internal Storage is listed, but there is no mechanism for adding the External Storage as a sync option (which would then allow me to re-specify the folder on the MMW Server). The External Storage is still on the phone, and in fact, MMA will play all of the currently synced songs on both Internal and External storage. I just can't add any new songs to External. It also knows the correct download location which is on the external storage SD card. All of this was working great ... but now it's not.

May want to try connection via USB to MMW PC. Maybe that creates the Device Profile again.

I have the same issue on my Galaxy Note 10.1. The external storage disappeared from sync options and from library folders. Nonetheless it can play music from the external storage location just fine (where it was synced to previously).

Bug on Accessing External SD on Note 3
Hello,
I have been using MediaMonkey Beta for for Android on my Note 3 (running CyanogenMod 11) for about 2 months.
At first I found it fine, and I like it very much, but not until I updated my app to the recent beta releases than I found bug of sudden disappearance of external SD inside MediaMonkey.
You can see the attached image, with the left being normal and the right being problematic. Each time when the circled item disappeared as shown at right, I have to wipe app data to get it back again, which is annoying. But at the same time of its disappearance, I can still play the music on the external SD in MediaMonkey and access it with other app normally. Only that I cannot see the item and cannot synchronise songs inside MediaMonkey. It is strange!
I really hope that this can be remedied as soon as posible.
Thanks.
Currently installed version: 1.1.0.0341

Re: Bug on Accessing External SD on Note 3
Hi,
Can you please try the following?
1) Delete all the music and playlists from your device
2) Resync via Wi-Fi using MMA 1.1.0.331 and MMW 4.1.5.1719
Let me know if that solves the problem (there is a known issue with USB sync using these builds for some devices, and there have been reports of inaccessible content following OS and MMA upgrades).
If not, would you be able to submit a debug log? i.e. just run MMA, attempt to access a track on the SD card (e.g. via the Folders icon on the home screen), and then submit a debug log (Click About MediaMonkey > Submit log), and post the log ID to this forum.
Thanks.

Re: Wi-Fi Sync By Location Stopped Working
I don't know if this will capture anything useful for the developers, but you may want to try restarting the Device, then start MMA and go to Options where both storages should be shown. If they aren't both there you can send a debug log (from About screen) right after this.

@rusty, your suggestion would not work as I cannot resync as in step 2. Since there is no option for external, MMA only tries to sync internal memory.
Unfortunately the Note 10.1 does not have a USB either.
One more piece of information: although the mp3's that are in MMA internal database play fine from the external sd card as long as I search them by album or artist, at least in my case, they are also not shown in the "folders" section that you can use on your home screen in MMA.

Re: Wi-Fi Sync By Location Stopped Working
It will probably occur again. According Your logs, I don't know why but Your device unmounts and mounts the external sd card. That is why it disappears and reappears. Do You know about anything what can cause it?
Re: Wi-Fi Sync By Location Stopped Working
Thank you for your logs. I have found the cause. Storage disappears on unmounting storage but it doesn't always reappear when it is mounted again. It will be fixed in next build (347). Please let us know in case of any issues.
Re: Wi-Fi Sync By Location Stopped Working
Thank you for the investigation. Good to know. It disappeared again today and I was just about to send another debug log:).
I am not sure what is unmounting and mounting the ext sd card. I have the suspicion that it is related to webroot secureanywhere mobile, my virus scanner, but I wouldn't know how to test that (besides uninstalling/reinstalling which can be a big effort and cause other issues).
