export/import of playlists
I need to save my playlists before doing a windows refresh, which will remove MM and my other programs. To test this, I did an "export to playlist" for each of my MM playlists. Then I did an "add/rescan" of the folder on my computer. Of course, nothing happened or was added because I had not deleted any MM playlists. So the test failed. What should I do to ensure MM restores all my playlists (in the same track order) after I re-install MM, and can I test for this first?
Re: export/import of playlists
I believe if you do a backup of your MMW the restore will restore your playlists (they are kept in the db). The best way to test this is create a portable install of MMW and overwrite that db/files with your existing bits. That should show that your new portable mmw has the playlists.

Database backup may be the best (as more data will be preserved): http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... w_computer
Playlists will only be imported (under Playlists > Imported Playlists) if you scan the folder they're in and have the appropriate file type(s) selected in the Add/Rescan Files dialog.
