you have something on your system already to tell you if you just set it up and get the proper program.
i know you wanted to make your own window but this option is worth doing and not that hard to set up. so check it out below.
why not make the computer talk to you. ?
if you have windows 98se or newer you have most the main program in the system now. windows Xp has a missing file but you can get it from msdn downloads for free.
the rest you can get from online in different sites if you want too.
i am talking about a way to use the msagents program to tell you what songs are playing.
i use them all the time. you will need the following.
1. msagent server 2.0 program. (you have that it is a system file now.)
2. you need a text to voice engine, you can get free ones from msdn download site for msagents.
3. you need sapi 4. if you have winxp
4. you need an msagent character to use. you should have merlin but his voice is not very well suited for being a dee jay. genie is better to hear.
5. you need the djamp program. you can get that from the yahoo group for msagent charactors. its in the folder there for downloading.
6. you need to understand how to use djamp with media monkey. so you should read my help page for it.
http://www.angelfire.com/tx5/rovingcowb ... dpage.html
and look in the msagent download section for the help page for the new version of djamp.
7 ask if you need help with it. if you want to do it. there are other programs that you can use that might work with monkey they were made for winamp but i am not sure if they work with monkey, i know djamp does.
and the djamp author has giving us 5000 tigger keywords and 5000 comments we can use. the triggers are for making the agent say the words to some titles properly my help page tells all about it.
you must beable to misspell words if you want to get the computers to say them properly as the computer voice engines can not say all words properly, but check out the help page. and email me if you want help or ask the yahoo group, since you will have to join it to get the djamp program.
