mm doesnt sync ogg to iriver t30 mtp

because there was no answer to my thread i think it must be a bug

iriver statement for t30:

Supports all popular audio formats, including MP3, WMA and OGG Vorbis

mm doest sync ogg to the t30
mm device properties: provided formats - mp3, wma

please add ogg to provided formats

running mm version: 2.5.1.934 / licensed
iriver t30 firmware: 1.60 / mtp

Your player doesn't support ogg playback. If you have the GOLD Version it should convert your ogg files to whatever specified (e.g. mp3), but I think in the FREE Version this "Bug" is the desired behaviour.

just an information:

a rumor taken from the cebit.
there are no offical statesment avaliable (so far i know)


iriver will release patches / firmwares to convert mtp devices to ums. in that case the whole m$ "play for sure" crap is history

ok, theres finaly a community patch to migrate iriver Txx mtp to ums (and kicks that m$ "play for sure" crap)

4 hints:

read the instructions and tips from the side
downgrade to firmware 1.60 or older (ive done down to 1.54)
check your batterys .. u need to power ...

i have a pure t30 (without radio tuner) and it worked perfect.
i moved to the hacked 1.60 ums version and upgraded to the official 1.70 firmware from iriver without any problems

load the iriver truth linux ... i love it .. finaly

it works now as a normal device on windoze, think mm doesnt have now any problems with it (havent check yet)

this all is no official release from iriver, its a hacked firmware from the community !

I have a t30mx with mtp firmware and couldn't get .ogg files to synch with windows media player. To avoid this, just go to My Computer/ audio device/ and drop your files in the data folder.
