CUESheet Support

Post by Peke »

As someone mentioned here lots of software support CUESheet Standard as recording Script like Nero, CDRWin, Fire Burner, Clone CD,.... I'm curious if there is need for implementation of Importing/Exporting feature in Songs-Db?

Universal Burning Script which tells Recording Software how CD TOC looks like, Type of CD, CD-Text, ...... Most Burning Softwares Imports/Exports it.
I mainly use it for burning Beat2Beat Mixed Audio CDs (Eg. One WAVE file contains 20 Mixed songs with CUESheet file to set Track CUE/CUT Times).

I listen to a lot of mix CDs and live DJ sets. Cue files are essential if you want to keep a single audio file with no gaps but still be able to skip around the file to find individual parts (tracks). No cue sheet support is my #1 request for Media Monkey improvements.

CUE plugin

I saw your post on the mp3cue plug-in from guerilla software, and I went there and checked it out and it sounds perfect, but I cannot get it to install on MediaMonkey cuz it can't detect WinAmp. Can you tell me how you installed it on your system please?

Thanks!

you might want to try this:

Open Notepad and save the file as winamp.exe in the MM program files folder. Make sure to save as 'all files' so it doesn't have a txt extension. This works well with other winamp not found plugins.

mp3cue doesn't appear to work with latest MM

Post by Guest »

MM crashes on exit if mp3cue is installed on my machine.

mp3cue 5.0
MM 2.3.1.845

Now that I've actually listened to the difference between high bit-rate mp3 vs flac on good equipment I'm going back through my collection re-ripping to flac important cd's - cue sheet support is getting more and more desireable...

Cheers,
Rob

FYI - There is a lightweight frrebie player out there called 1by1. It has a slick implementation of playing music from a cue sheet and mp3. Exacly the kind of thing I'm dying for in MM. Might be something to check out for "inspiration".

Most of my CDs are DJ mixed and the only way to rip them and have them play back right is to rip to one big mp3 with a cue sheet. So I'm listening to non-mixed music from MM and mixed music from 1by1. Kind of a pain. The cue plugins for Winamp are terrible so I'm sticking with the two player setup for now.

You can download it here:

MM operators dont car, hmm?

it's pretty obvious the MM team doesnt care what the users want, hmm?
they don't even make a statement in their own forum....

i wanted to give it a try (MM) - but as it obviously still doesnt support cusheets i wont bother downloading and stick with foobar (btw - i don't think MM users would like foobar - it's just a straight mp3 player - with cuesheet support, yet no.. ahm.. colored stuff, no visuals...)

We really DO care about what our users want. The thing is that the to-do list is incredibly long and not all features can be implemented in a reasonable time. So then it happens that there are users angry that 'their' feature isn't implemented yet...

Perhaps they do and with the finite rescoures they have, they develop features that are in more demand.

There simply doesn't seem to be enough people who want cue sheets.
