Socket error??

Post by sordup »

What does it mean when every time (lately) that I open my main MMW5 I get an error window saying, "There was a problem downloading the following file" and Socket error #10061 ??
The log I save from it reads,
"Socket Error # 10061
Connection refused.: - http://192.168.254.28:14132/%5CMusic%5C ... =39793.mp3"

If I click OK, close MM and re-open, it happens again.

It looks like it's trying to download a DLNA file. Do you have a DLNA Server at that IP and port? Can you view Downloads (in the Media Tree) and if so remove the file from it?

Also which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

Version is 5.0.2.2513
The IP address referenced is the address of this self same MM install, which is the (only) DLNA Server on my network.
This error message shows even when no other machine/instance is on the network.
I have no "downloads" in MediaMonkey.
I don't see Downloads in the Media Tree.
If I go to "Configure collections and nodes" and check off "Downloads (0)", still no "Downloads" shows in the Media Tree.

This might be an obvious one, but do you have any Network or Media server locations in your library? (File > Add /rescan files to the library)

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.

There are no server locations in the list under "Add/rescan..." if that's what you mean.
