I paid for MMW5 Gold but have nothing but problems with it. Out of memory errors, white screens, black screens, losing my layout settings every time I shut it down etc.
Downloaded the latest Beta debug release. Nothing changed.
I'm just ready to download 4 again. Now I can't even find where to download it.
I feel like I just wasted my money and have nothing to play my music on now.
Edit: I just found it.

Re: How to switch back to MMW4?
As this is your first post .. if you have had so many issues why haven't you posted the issues so that the great folks at MM could figure out why it is happening to you. MM5 is a learning experience but there are a lot of people here that are willing to help.

Please capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach it to a Support Ticket: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=86643
This will help a developer analyze why you see this in your setup.

Re: How to switch back to MMW4?
I've tried to capture a debug log. It keeps crashing before I can do anything like that.
Most of that stuff is way over my computer knowledge.
If the fix to my issue is going in and editing a bunch of source code, I don't think I'd be able to pull that off.

I think it may be set to send error logs automatically.
I just tried to use it and received another error. This one was different than the usual one.

Tried it again and it just went to a white screen.
Eureka bug report folder is empty.
Have to go to task manager to exit the program.

Tried again.
Attempted to play "Shuffle Albums" and it give me a Out of Memory error for about 3 seconds then went to white screen again.
It's not generating a debug log.

Re: How to switch back to MMW4?
Debug View captures all that happens including the crash. This can be saved and attached to a Support Ticket. A developer will then analyze the log and respond.

Start the debug program before starting MediaMonkey.wowflutter2 wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 12:00 am Tried again.

It's not generating a debug log.
- it starts a independent program in a separate window, which starts listening for, and logging MediaMonkey events
- then start MediaMonkey
- do whatever causes the crash
- then go back to the Debug log window, and save the log that it has recorded
Don't worry. You won't be asked anything like that. They just need to see whatever condition you have that is evading their built-in diagnostic tool.wowflutter2 wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 11:16 pm If the fix to my issue is going in and editing a bunch of source code, I don't think I'd be able to pull that off.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Thanks. I think I've got a debug ticket started.
