[SOLVED] Track cuts off early

Post by AlanH »

Hi, can anyone givw me any pointers why a track would cut off super early on android, i mean like a minute into a 3.30 track. The same track plays fine in MM 4 on windows, i have checked the stop time in windows and it seams to be correct, i am using the paid version of MMA but i know its not a fault with that as it cuts of early on samsung music as well, i sync via wifi and i have no conversion rules set so it comes over as 320kbps.

Samsung S10+ android 12
Windows 11 with MM4

Copy a file that exhibits this problem back to the PC and play it there. Does it still cut off?

Sorry for the late reply.

i copied the track back to windows and although the track did play all the way through there was a small glitch where it was cutting off. i tried inspect the track in audacity but it wouldnt open it. it also wouldnt open the original file even though it played ok.

converting the file from mp3 to mp3 has fixed the issue but im not sure how much i have compramised the quality by going mp3 to mp3.

I often beside AudaCity use https://www.wavosaur.com/ to compare results on a track. You possibly lost fe frames :( It can be seen as a big jump in audio data waveform at place of corruption.
