You have the option to save from Amazon in the album folder if you haven't disabled the popup.
You can either find the album art at Amazon and download it to the album folder or find the album art at some other service (eg, AllMusic) and download to the album folder, then use song properties to edit the album art.
Or drag art to the right folder and edit album art in the track properties. MM should auto-detect album art in the album folder, but it doesn't. If you auto-organize your tracks and move them, MM doesn't move the album art, so you have to do that manually. Auto-detect would solve that problem, too.

That is difficult. I name the CDs in my Virtual CD catalog with a [1], (1), Vol I, or some other identifier. That is easy.Lolita wrote:And btw how do you organise albums with more cds that one?
If you then edit the track properties and put them all in one album, you have to manually renumber tracks in sequence. I have found no auto-renumber capability in MM. That is a PITA.
But once you have renumbered, you can leave it at that or "auto-organize" and pull all the tracks in one album folder. Just leave the CD name as 1,2,3 or MM will get confused as to the actual CDs.
Don't start doing any of this until you have ripped all the CDs. Renaming tracks that are to-be-ripped or are playing can cause unpredictable results.
Auto-organizing a track that is playing will cause it to disappear without a trace. Just a little error message and then it is gone and cannot be refound without manually editing the database.

I'm to lazy to type artist all the time (when i downloading it this way it have only album name in name, but maybe there is some option to change it somewhere?my_two_cent wrote:You have the option to save from Amazon in the album folder if you haven't disabled the popup.

I will look at this option when i came back from work ... (:
btw i use MM only to get album arts, i organised all my mp3 tags etc. via mp3tag and i use foobar as my audio player and i want to try some HTPC aplications (so bacause of that i want album arts in <artist> - <album> format).
Try my "Google Art Finder" and/or "Batch Art Finder" scripts to help you get the artwork you want quickly.
My "Album Art Tagger" script can be used to move album art to new locations and rename them. Maybe this will help you.

But CD 1, 2, ... is something that is stored only in MM database, or not? Because i need something in tag or so, that all software can read it ...my_two_cent wrote:But once you have renumbered, you can leave it at that or "auto-organize" and pull all the tracks in one album folder. actualy i use <artist> - <album name> (cd 1) etc. (even in tag), but i think, that best way is track numbers like 101,102 for cd1, 201,202 for cd2 etc. - what do you think? (:
I have recently switched from <Album> CD1 and <Album> CD2 to using 101... and 201... - I wrote a script to do this automatically called "Combine Albums".
