MMA on DAP - volume not as loud as built in music apps

I've been using Media Monkey on a couple of my most recent DAP:
Sony WM1AM2 (currently)
iBasso DX180


My library is organized on my PC using Media Monkey 5 and my preference is to sync my DAP using MMA.

The problem here is that MMA doesn't seem to sound as loud as the Sony Music Player app. There are times when I play the Sony app first and then switch to playing using MMA and the sound volume comes out pretty equal. I noticed this as I was doing some volume and sound quality comparisons between the 2 music apps.

I really prefer to just use MMA as the library and playlist management is just generally better plus I use it anyway to sync with my music library.

Does anyone know where I can check or troubleshoot this?

Hi,
For starters try disable EQ (Player -> ⋮ -> EQ) and if that do not help then disable Volume leveling (☰ -> Settings -> Level Volume).
