One folder will not successfully scan.

Post by jwhitworth »

One folder will not successfully scan. It is on my TrueNAS server. All the other directories scan OK. The problem folder will complete a scan when I am using MM on my laptop. I can access the files using Windows File Explorer. All are flac files. All that have been tested unsuccessfully play using VLC. Using latest version.

Scan log identifies a few .wav files it encounters. I have selected only flac and mp3 files for import.

Please see: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... y-library/

Are you sure the files aren't already in the MediaMonkey Library (see link)? If not, which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

Turns out the flac files in the folder are all tagged as podcasts so they do not show up under "Music" collection.

Is the "Type" tag something that is stored in the file itself?

I never would have never tagged those files as podcasts so not sure how they acquired that tag.

No, Type is auto-determined on first scan, and MediaMonkey only?
