how do i update a playlist with 1 or 2 songs? when i add a song to a playlist and then synch with my ipod, the entire playlist is synched, not just the changes.

how do i get mm to just update the playlist with just the changes, instead of the whole playlist everytime i make a change?

"synch selected" is checked, and the playlist(s) to update are also checked.

also, under synch -> options, device config tag i have "force itunes...", "trim path...", and "update based on all track changes..." checked. i also tried it with "update based on newly added tracks..." with no luck.

besides all this, whenever i synch a changed playlist with my ipod, mm simply adds the changed playlist to the ipod instead of replacing it, so i end up with the old pl and the updated one on the ipod which totally useless.

very frustrating.

thanks.

Don't know how to solve it, but why don't you just synchronise the updated files and leave the updated playlist alone...

Or try the long way... update the files, delete the old playlist on your iPod and create a new playlist on your pc...and sync it on your iPod...
When you have a solution for 4 problems, you'll get a 5th one...

lyan,

thanks, but what do you mean by "synchronise the updated files and leave the updated playlist alone"?

i want the updated playlist on my ipod. how would i synchronise updated files? i think that's what i'm trying to do, but i get a duplicate playlist on ipod everytime: one with the old bunch of songs, and one with the new bunch.

this seems like a pretty simple thing to me: add a song to an existing PL and ask the software to update that PL on your ipod without duplicating it or re-importing the entire 100+ song PL.

for some reason, MM doesn't think it's very simple!
