I am wondering if there is a way to auto-increment Episode #'s just like Track #'s.
There is a plugin to 'Copy field to field' and "Swap fields", however track and episode fields are not available to select from.
Thank you,
Jozef

Re: Episode #'s
Hi,
HINT: Track # = Episode # , Disk # = Season #, Album = Series Name.
I Use Tag from Filename mask to fill them.

Re: Episode #'s
Thank you for the reply. That totally makes sense. However, I was looking for a plugin similar to 'Increment track #', unfortunately I don't know how to write one.
What you are suggesting is a genius workaround. My problem is that my TV Show episodes have to be named 'S01E01 - name of the episode'.
If I am misunderstanding your suggestion, please give me more detailed instructions on how to go about this.
Thank you,
Jozef.

Re: Episode #'s
For file naming you can use <Episode#:2> to get the leading zero if that's what you seek.
If Episode# is blank and the files are in order, starting at episode 1 you can use <Auto Number:2> instead to get the Episode# into the filename.

Re: Episode #'s
MM 2024 have that natively eg. Select tracks -> Right click -> Edit tags -> Increment track #.
After that like Lowlander said you can use Auto Organize to name them correctly. For TV Series I personally use This Mask "<Series> (<Year>) - $if(<Season #>,S<Season #:2>,)$if(<Episode #>,E<Episode #:2> - ,)<Title>" to make things clean.
NOTE: I use <YEAR> to avoid remakes eg. "Battlestar Galactica (1980)" vs. "Battlestar Galactica (2003)" namings.
HINT: Once you have Series name, Season+Track # correct you can use Auto Tag to fill the rest of information.
