ArtWork not Downloading & not showing.

I tried saving to tag, and saving it to the folder.
It's a no show.

No error alert, so it seems fine but it just shows that one color disc.
I tried different views afterwards, like Grid, but there's nothing there.
Also not in the folder.

I had this problem since the first time I installed MMW2024.
Now I have MediaMonkey_2024.2.0.3178 Portable Mode.

Does the Artwork show under Properties > Artwork after downloading? If so, is it the first listed Artwork?

For instance:
At Properties / Artwork,
after downloading I see those monocolor discs, no pics.
One stored in tag, one stored in ***.jpg

They don't disappear,
but I can't see the pictures anywhere, also not in the file's folder.

Can you please describe exact steps? Screenshots showing the steps/or a screencast can help explain what you're actually doing.

Thanks for screencast it helped explain the issue.

If you select different Artwork from a different website does the same happen? It may be the website that doesn't allow for this.

I suspect you mean trying a different website, by selecting a different image...

It doesn't work after trying several pictures.

Can you alter the Search in the Artwork lookup to a regular Album like Taylor Swift Fearless and attempt to associate one of those results? Does it still fail even if you try a few options?

I'm unable to reproduce, but get different results with your query and the image that seems the same, is much larger in my results and works. There may be an issue of geography, where there are issues with your location.

I added 2 screencasts to that link. And later 2 more...

I tried with "Taylor Swift"+"Fearless", and selected the first 12 pictures that showed up.
Then I right clicked on the last picture, and selected "show image".

It got interesting, see screencasts...
First came a message from MM saying "Image Download failed".
(not visible in the screencast, it was a pop under message by the way.)
Then, a message "can't delete ... etc"

I then searched for that image in Folder 84, it was the picture I last selected.
I could copy and delete that picture, but apparently MM couldn't.
Maybe that's what stopped the process every time.

After deleting it, somehow the picture reappears and disappears every time...
I looked at other "latest used" thumbs Folders and there were the other Taylor Swift pics.
And these also seemed to disappear and re-appear...

This is Harry Potter territory by now

Edit: After returning to MM, I saw that one of the "can't delete ... etc" message was still open.
I clicked ok to all, and closed the Artwork and properties panel.
After that, the last Taylor Swift pic re-appeared in win explorer, and stayed visible.
Also the other pictures in the other folders stopped "flickering"...

It's the Twilight Zone.

Edit 2: By the way, there were a lot of pics in these Thumbs folders.
I don't think any of these pics are showing actually!
Yep, none are showing in Grid view.
They came from the previous MM versions.

Are you attempting to save Artworks in the Thumbs folder? You can't, as this is a reserved temporary files folder used by MediaMonkey.

Please also include the link to the screencasts to help clarify to the developer what you're doing/seeing.

I wasn't attempting to save Artworks in the Thumbs folder.
I was just exploring to see what MM was talking about.

It was solved:

Image links are broken when hashtag is included in path for portable installs
Description 1) Install MediaMonkey as portable to C:\Portable Apps\# MediaMonkey\ and run
=> image links are broken, artwork not showing

2) Rename
C:\Portable Apps\# MediaMonkey\
to
C:\Portable Apps\MediaMonkey\
=> image links are shown
