Play next file

Post by HockeyNut »

So I am using the latest version and for th elife of me cannot figure out how to configure the option to do what I want. So I hcae Ctrl+X for stop, Ctrl+M for play and Ctrl+N for next file. But I want it to not automatically play next file. I want to be able to hit Ctrl+N either once or multiple times to get to the song in the playlist that I want to play next and when ready hit Ctrl+M to play it.

so I might be at a sporting event and during stopage of play play music. then when its over hit stop and find my next song.

I had it working in version 5.0.0 when used it a couple years ago but in the latest I cannot find what setting does this.

Can anyone tell me where I can got to set this up. I have done all kinds of google searches and tried the suggestions with no luck.

Play Next is a play command, so you can only execute this when you intent to start playback.

There is no method to queue the next file without playing it. So you need to do this when you're ready to play the file.

That has since been fixed, which means it no longer works the way you intend to use it.

That's a bummer I really liked it that way and is the reason I chose it when Winamp went down. As Winamp did that

Can you explain in step by step what you have done previously that do not work anymore?

Maybe we missed something.

I think he is looking for the "next File" command to move to the next track and select it in the now playing list, maybe several times in a row, but not start playing it.

I agree there should be a command for that.

That is correct. I want to use hot key ctrl+s (or what ever to stop track) then use say ctrl+n to select next track but not automatically start playing. It may be next file or 10 down. Need to use ctrl +n or whatever to play. But if have a track playing and it ends the next one n e will play automatically. I have version 5.0.0 installed on another laptop and it works this way.want to be able to do this on new laptop with latest version.
