I have a fairly large music collection and I’m trying to keep everything organized in MediaMonkey. I’d like to manage artist names, album information, genres, and artwork more consistently.
What are some useful MediaMonkey features or settings that you recommend for maintaining a large music library?

Organise the library using something like this "Auto-Organise Rule":
That is save ALL media types to your M: "media" drive where the first subfolder is the <Type> of media (Music, Classical, Podcast, etc). Then beneath this organise by <Album Artist> as this sits "higher" in the hierarchy than <Artist>. Then <Album>... The actual "File Name" is just the <Title> of the track (this can give an issue if there are multiple versions of the same track and you will need to distinguish them e.g. Live / Date etc.
This works fine for Classical and Music, but note the "tweaks" for other media types in the "code" above! You may need to tweak some tags before you use Auto-Organise - something like this:
For each individual music file (i.e. Track) set the <Disc #> and <Track #> and assign <Genre> alphabetically using a semi-colon separator e.g. Folk;Pop;Rock.
For each album, select all tracks and "Multi-Edit" to make sure the Album Artist / Date / Genre etc are consistent, then you might want to "Analyse Volume" and add the album artwork. The aim is to make the album tracks consistent!
Finish by playing the album track and Media Monkey will have a good attempt at adding lyrics. While the tracks are playing, consider making an Album specific Playlist with the tracks correct in disc / track order.
Consider using some of the Add-Ons available - Clean Apostrophes, Copy and Swap, Date to Year, Fix Characters, Replace String. A few add-ons are so useful, they are built in - Auto-Increment Track #.
